The Washington County Pit Bulls host the Lane County Kings in the last home game of the regular season.

The Washington County Pit Bulls host the Lane County Kings in the last home game of the regular season.  The Pit Bulls are 4-2 over all and 2-1 in league play.  Coming in to town is the PNFL 2017 Winter Season champion runner up, the Lane County Kings.

The Pit Bulls are coming off of a 34-13 loss on June 24 to the Rouge Valley Trojans.  It was a game that had temps at kick off in the upper 90's.  "It wasn't the best performance by our team that day.  We showed a lot of rust with the two weeks off between the travel down to Southern Oregon Renegades on June 3 and the game with the Trojans. We lost the game in turnovers against the Trojans.  We took some time these last two weeks to really clean up our tech at the offensive skill" Head Coach Mark Ancheta said.

The Lane County Kings, the runner up to the 2017 PNFL Winter season, is looking to build their product and brand of football.  With the cancellation of the PNFL summer season, the Kings were with out a stage to build their product.  "The Lane County Kings are an up and coming organization. We see that they are doing the right things to build a product to put on the field.  They roster some good local talent from the Eugene area including their Defensive Player of the Year Adrian Montes, who has also captured the accolades of Rookie of the Year in the NNFL.  They have a good supporting marketing vehicles with digital media and photography.  The Kings were in the PNFL championship game just four months ago in March in a 13-6 loss to the Rip City Mafia.  This is going to be a fun cross league game with two good football teams" stated Coach Ancheta.

The Pit Bulls will be promoting their regular season home game of the season at the Hillsboro Farmers Market as part of the Helth and Fitness theme at 12pm-1pm at the Downtown Hillsboro Plaza.  Fans can get photos with players, catch touchdown passes from QB Eddy Simpson, and throw touchdown passes to WR Adrian Smith and TE's Michael Jorgensen and Michael Accettola.  Get autographs on promotional posters, and get other trinkets like silicon bands, and lanyards.  Kick off for tomorrows game at Hare Field is set for 6pm. Concessions will be ran by Kona Ice of Tigard.  Come out and support the Washington County Pit Bulls on their regular season home game finale!
